Description
The Worcester Park War Memorial is located in the former churchyard of St Philip on Cheam Common Road. It features a Calvary cross that rises from a tapered octagonal shaft, which is set on an octagonal plinth above a two-stepped base.
The front face of the plinth has the inscription: "TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THIS PARISH WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 1919. GRANT THEM ETERNAL REST, O LORD." Three other faces of the plinth list the names of the Fallen, including the name and occupation of a civilian casualty.
