Description
The Manor House is an early 18th-century building located on Church Road in Kingston-upon-Thames. It features two storeys and attics, topped with a double-pitched tiled roof and a chimney at the back. The façade is five windows wide, with flush framed sashes that include glazing bars and twelve panes. The central entrance has a six-panel door that is moulded and fielded, topped by a semi-circular fanlight with radiating bars. The door is framed by a pedimented doorcase in the Doric order, flanked by two flat side pilasters. There is a flat string at the eaves level, and the windows have gauged brick square heads. The house has undergone significant alterations and has additions at the back. It holds some historical interest, having a close connection with Merton College, Oxford.
