Description
The milestone outside No. 226 on Kingston Road in Ewell is possibly from 1755, coinciding with the turnpiking of the London road. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features inscriptions on its sides: "Reigate 10" on the north side, "1 mile to Ewell" on the west side, and "Kingston 4" on the east side.
