Description

Muston War Memorial is located in the churchyard in front of St John the Baptist Church in Muston. It features a wheel-head Calvary cross that rises from a tapering hexagonal shaft. This shaft is placed on a tall hexagonal plinth, which stands on a three-stepped base.

The front face of the plinth has an incised dedication that reads: "ERECTED TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN MEMORY OF THOSE MEN CONNECTED WITH THIS PARISH WHO LOST THEIR LIVES IN THE WAR 1914 – 1918." The other faces of the plinth are inscribed with the names of the fallen, along with the dates of their deaths.

Additionally, there is a later dedication for the Second World War that reads: "1939 – 1945 (NAMES)."
