Description
The Muston Gap Public House is a mid-18th century building that was remodelled in the 20th century. It is constructed of whitewashed ironstone and features roofs made of black glazed pantiles. The main block has two storeys and is arranged in three bays. The central entrance has a timber doorcase topped with a pediment. The ground floor windows are shallow bows, while the first-floor windows consist of 2-and 3-light casements. The building has a gabled roof with internal gable-end stacks. There is a two-storey extension from the late 18th century that adjoins the south gable; this extension has one wide bay lit by 3-light casements and also features a gabled roof with an internal gable-end stack. Inside, there is a re-used early 17th century strapwork overmantel above the fireplace.
