Description
Richmond College, built between 1841 and 1843 by A. Trimmer, is a Grade II listed building in the Tudor Gothic style. It features a long, four-storey ashlar range with seven bays on each side of a central gate tower. The building has projecting gable wings at both ends and is adorned with mullioned windows that have cusped heads. The gate tower is notable for its octagonal buttresses, ogee-capped finials, and a two-storey oriel window above the entrance. Additional decorative elements include oriels, buttresses, and ogee-capped pinnacles at the ends of the wings, as well as battlements and ogee-capped pinnacles on the central range.
