Description
The Wick and Wick Cottage is a historic building dating from 1775, designed by Robert Mylne. It is constructed of plum brick and stone, featuring two storeys plus a basement and dormers. The façade is three windows wide, with a stone cornice beneath a balustraded parapet and a stone band-course that has delicately carved triglyphs below the upper floor windows. The ground floor showcases an arcaded treatment with round fluted stone medallions positioned between the windows. The windows are square-headed with moulded surrounds on the ground floor, while the dormers are segmental in shape. A prominent porch is supported by Tower of the Winds columns and features a fluted and medallioned frieze, with a fanlight above. At the rear, there is a large segmental full-height bay that embraces one end of the oval drawing room. The interior has not been seen. The listing also includes Wick Cottage.
