Description

The railings, gates, and gatepiers to Valentines Park are notable features located on Emerson Road in Ilford. The gatepiers are made of Portland stone and have an enriched bombé shape topped with vases. The railings date from the late 18th century and were resited; originally, in 1772, they faced the garden front of the house, as documented in Muilman's History of Essex.
