Description
No. 7 Belvedere Drive is a detached house built in 1903 and designed by Ernest Newton. It features roughcast walls and a steeply pitched tiled roof that extends to the eaves. The house has two storeys plus a roof storey and consists of four main bays, displaying an early Georgian revival style. The outer bays project and contain two-storey canted bay windows. The entrance is located to the left of centre and includes a projecting segmental headed Tuscan porch. The windows are square headed, with those on the ground floor set in segmental headed moulded reveals. Most of the windows are flush framed sashes, except for the bay to the right of centre, which has a longer two-light timber mullioned window with two levels of transoms and small panes with glazing bars. There is also a circular window on the ground floor to the right of centre. The house features gabled casemented dormer windows with small panes and glazing bars, and a mounted cornice above the first floor. Tall chimneys are also present. The interior has not been inspected.
