Description

Compass House is a building from the late 18th century or early 19th century, located at 61 Strand on the Green. It features channelled stucco and stands three storeys tall with a basement. The façade includes two double-hung sash windows set in reveals. There is a door with a modern glass porch situated beneath a concrete balcony on the first floor, which has iron railings. The entrance is accessed by nine stone steps that are supported by cast iron columns and surrounded by cast iron railings. The building also has bands at the first and second floors, and a Venetian window on the second floor. The parapet has a central step up.
