Description

Nos 70 and 70A Strand on the Green are a building with a 19th-century stucco facade, likely refronting an earlier house. The building is three storeys high and features six 19th-century double-hung sash windows. A red brick doorway is present, incorporating an elliptical arch, pilasters, and a pediment with a carved panel within the tympanum. First and second-floor balconies project from the facade. Modern splayed wood bays have been added to the ground and first floors. A parapet tops the building. The architectural style harmonizes well with the adjacent houses. Nos 64 to 71 Strand on the Green form a group.
