Description

This building on The Strand dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It has a stucco facade designed to imitate stonework, covered with slate roofing. The building is three storeys high and has two windows on each floor, with sash windows featuring late 19th-century glazing. A 19th-century shop front has been altered but retains its original end consoles, pilasters, and cornice. The southwest-facing entrance door also has a cornice and pilasters, with panelled reveals and a plain, rectangular fanlight. A central recessed shop door features a similar fanlight and a moulded, shouldered architrave.
