Description

This is a large corner house and shop dating from the late 18th and early 19th centuries. It was likely originally occupied by Webber, a draper. The house has a roughcast facade and a modern slate roof. The gable ends feature lunette windows. The main facade has four windows, which are sash windows with glazing bars and plain painted architraves. There is one dormer window. A good mid-19th century shop front is present, featuring Ionic columns with fluting at the entrance, arched lights, spandrels with high relief mouldings, and a wrought iron gate. The facade facing St Andrews Road has three windows and a single window in a two-story rear extension. Plainer 19th-century shop fronts are present, with a central round-arched window.
