Description
Swan House is a late 18th-century pair of houses located on Chiswick Mall, W4. The building is constructed of brown brick and stands three stories tall. It features three double-hung sash windows set in reveals, topped with rubbed flat arches, and has bands at each floor level. Swan House includes a left-hand recessed three-story wing, which has a recently added one-story extension containing an arched doorway with a fanlight. The adjoining property has a bow on its east elevation, but all windows on the ground and first floors are blocked, with the remaining windows being modern. Both houses have one dormer and a parapet, with a machine tile roof. Swan House is part of a group that includes Cedar House, Island House, Norfolk House, a garden wall, railings to Island House and Norfolk House, and St John's House.
