Description
Morton House, built in the late 18th century, features brown brick with red dressings. The building has three storeys and a basement, with three double-hung sash windows that have rubbed flat arches. There is a round-headed doorway adorned with an elaborate traceried fanlight and a six-fielded door. The structure includes bands at the first and second floors and a parapet. Notable external features include two metal fire plaques, iron window guards, and wrought iron railings. Inside, there is a panelled room with a moulded cornice on the ground floor to the left. Morton House and its railings, along with Strawbery House and its railings and gate, and Walpole House with its gates and screen, form a cohesive group.
