Description
St John's House is a late 18th or early 19th century stucco building situated on Chiswick Mall. It is three storeys high and features two double-hung sashes within architraves. The ground floor is channelled and finished in ashlar, with a six-panel door framed by an architrave, both adorned with entablatures. The building is topped with a cornice and pediment. A later attic storey has been added. The structure has been strengthened to protect it from flooding. St John’s House, together with Cedar House, Swan House, Island House, and Norfolk House, along with their associated garden wall, railings (to Island House, Norfolk House, and St John’s House), are designated as a group.
