Description

  1. CHISWICK MALL, W4 4419 Strawberry House TQ 2178 SE 2/159 11.7.51. II* GV

  2. Early C18, refronted circa 1730. Brown brick. 2-storeys and attic, 6 double- hung sashes with rubbed red brick flat arches in architraves. 1st floor windows have blind cases with Greek key ornament. Cast iron porch, columns supporting balcony and balcony railings. Porch has fluted columns, entablature with reeded frieze and modillion cornice. Cornice, machine tile roof, 3 dormers. Interior - deal panelling, Adam style drawing room ceiling and mantelpiece. Vine RCHM p9 and CL LXXIX pp1 and 2. NMR.
