Description

The rear garden wall to Walpole House on Chiswick Mall is likely from the late 17th century. It is a remaining section of a plum-red brick wall that stands about 9 to 10 feet high, featuring some black headers. The wall has a tapering top with thicker punctuations and is capped with brick. The base has been repaired using modern brick. This wall is part of the boundary of College House, which was associated with the Westminster Scholars during the time of the plague starting in 1557.
