Description

This is a late 17th-century brick garden wall located at the rear of The Hollies, part of Chiswick Hall, on Netheravon Road. The wall, approximately 9 to 10 feet high, is constructed of plum-red brick with some black headers interspersed. It features a tapering top with thicker brick punctuations and a brick capping. The base has been repaired in modern brick. This section is a remnant of the boundary wall originally associated with College House, a residence linked to Westminster Scholars who sought refuge there during the plague from 1557 onwards.
