Description

Norfolk House is a pair of early 19th-century stucco houses. They are three storeys high with a rusticated basement. The windows are double-hung sashes in architraves, arranged as a 2:3:2 pattern. The sides of the building project, featuring two-storey bows. The first and second floors are accentuated by giant Corinthian pilasters. First-floor windows are surrounded by pilasters, an entablature, and a pediment. A ground-floor colonnade of paired Ionic columns is centrally located, topped by a balustraded balcony with a timber trelliswork and metal canopy. The bow features are largely later additions. The property is accompanied by a garden wall and railings. Norfolk House is part of a group that includes Cedar House, Swan House, Island House, and St John’s House.
