Description

Youngwood Farmhouse is a 17th-century timber-framed cottage located on the west side of Ducks Hill Road in Northwood. The building has two stories and features a gable end facing the road, which includes a large projecting chimney made of old bricks. The square framing is visible, and there is a queen post truss in the gable end. The nogging is made of white-painted brick. To the right, there is an 18th-century wing constructed of brick, which has been rendered, although a dentil cornice is still visible. The roofs are covered with old tiles, and the windows are sash style with glazing bars. The left wing of the building is made of modern brick and weatherboarding.
