Description

The barn located to the south of Avenue Cottage is a Grade II listed building dating from the late 16th century. It features a timber-framed structure with three large bays and a high-pitched tiled roof. The walls are weatherboarded, with some of the boarding being older. Inside, there is a queen post roof that includes some wind braces, and a later first floor has been inserted. Additionally, there is a one-bay extension on the left side made from similar materials. The barn is part of a group that includes Southlands, its forecourt, and the garden walls.
