Description

The walls to the north and east of the garden of Southlands are 18th century red brick structures located in West Drayton. The low wall, which ramps up at the south end, extends from the side forecourt wall northwards to Courting Lane. From this point, it continues west to the north-east corner of the property and then runs south for approximately 156 yards. The western section has been renewed, while the central part features a sloped top, and the remainder is tall with buttresses at intervals. There is some 19th century work at the south end. The walls of Southlands, along with its forecourt and garden walls, are part of a group with the Barn to the south of Avenue Cottage and the wall to the east of the Barn.
