Description
Nos 33 and 33A on The Green are a 16th-century cottage that has been altered and is now divided into two dwellings. The building is two storeys tall and features four windows. The roof, which was renewed in the early 19th century, is slated and has a fairly low pitch. The front is made of 18th-century brick and is colourwashed. There are sash windows under segmental brick arches, with two original windows and others that have been replaced. Both dwellings have half-glazed doors; the door of No 33A features an early 19th-century moulded architrave with a pediment and cornice on brackets, which No 33 has copied. Inside, there is some exposed timber. At the back, there is a lean-to that likely dates from the late 17th century. This building forms a group with Nos 25, 27, 29, 31, its forecourt walls, the wall to the north, and Nos 33 and 33A.
