Description

Number 25 is an early 17th century timber-framed house that consists of two sections, with the right section being higher and gabled. It features tiled roofs and an old brick chimney. The building has two storeys and two windows, which are fitted with small paned modern casements. The first floor is covered with rough, modern weatherboarding, while the ground floor is made of painted brick. A modern door is present at the entrance. Inside, there are exposed beams with ornamental chamfer stops. This building was formerly known as the Britannia Public House and was part of a complex that included a brewery and two public houses, with other parts of the complex listed separately. At the back on the left, there is an 18th century brick wall and a small stable building. Number 25, along with numbers 27, 29, 31, and the industrial buildings behind, as well as the forecourt walls and the wall to the north, and numbers 33 and 33A, form a group.
