Description
The Fox Public House is a public house dating from the 17th or 18th century. It features a timber frame with a brick exterior and a pantiled roof, standing two storeys tall. The front facing the road has a deep rendered plinth and pebbledash on the upper walls. There are two half-glazed doorways, with a 3-light casement window to the right and a similar window to the left, which has a 2-light casement at the far left. On the first floor, there are two 4-light casement windows on either side of the centre and a 2-light casement window at the far left. All the windows on this front are from the 19th century. The building has a transverse ridge chimney stack located to the left of centre and a gable stack with two flues on the right. At the rear, there are 19th and 20th century extensions across the entire ground floor. Inside, the ground floor features chamfered ceiling beams.
