Description
The walled garden to the rear of Cedar Court is a Grade II listed structure dating from around 1750. It features red stretcher bond and Flemish bond brickwork with rounded brick coping. The garden consists of two approximately rectangular enclosures, with walls that reach heights of about 10 to 12 feet, and a low wall measuring approximately 3 feet 6 inches. The smaller enclosure is located adjacent to the rear of the house and maintains the alignment of the side walls, also standing at 10 to 12 feet tall. It includes a lean-to pentise on the inner walls, supported by wooden piers and topped with a tiled roof. A low wall of about 3 feet 6 inches separates this smaller enclosure from the larger one, which features straight walls of Flemish bond brick at the ends and crinkle-crankle walls of stretcher bond brick on the sides, all approximately 10 to 12 feet high, with projecting plinths and coping made of moulded bricks.
