Description
29 The Green is a 17th-century building that has undergone significant alterations to its front. It is two storeys tall with three windows and features a roof that has been replaced with modern tiles. The walls are painted brick, and there are large modern casement windows along with a modern door that includes sidelights. Behind the façade, visible timber framing can be seen, and the interior of the ground floor showcases much exposed timber, including heavy chamfered beams. This building was formerly the King's Head public house and is part of a complex that includes a brewery and two public houses, which are now used as a wax factory, offices, and staff accommodation. The building is part of a group that includes Nos 25, 27, 31, and 33 and 33A, along with their forecourt walls and the wall to the north.
