Description

The King's Head Inn is a 17th century range of timber-framed buildings located on High Street in Hornchurch. The front is rendered, featuring modern applied timber-framing on the first floor and large ashlar blocks on the ground floor. The building has an old tiled roof and includes five 19th century gabled dormers of various sizes, four of which have moulded wooden architraves. Number 189 has a weatherboarded rear wing that is two storeys high, while behind numbers 191 and 193, there is a two-storey range that runs parallel to the main block but is lower in height.
