Description
The Music School at Harrow School was designed by E S Prior and built between 1890 and 1891. It is constructed of red brick and features a distinctive architectural style. The building includes a barrel-vaulted hall with an east apse that is illuminated by three modified Venetian windows. There is a west gallery that has a wrought iron balustrade. Surrounding the hall are corridors on three sides, which are vaulted on the ground floor to the east, and there are small rooms located on several floors to the north and south. The building is topped with curvilinear gables on the east and west sides, with the west gable displaying a relief of a shield and swag, flanked by turrets that have pyramid roofs.
