Description

Vaughan Library, located at Harrow School, was built between 1861 and 1863 by the architect Sir George Gilbert Scott. This building showcases a polychromatic Gothic style, constructed from red brick and accented with blue-grey brick and ashlar. It has a rectangular plan featuring a west central porch and an east central canted bay. The library is situated on a slope, with classrooms located below, facing east. Notable stained glass windows were created by J C Bell in 1883 and 1885.
