Description
The Art School, built in 1896 by W C Marshall, is a single-storey building with a two-storey recessed wing on the left and a low single-storey wing on the right. It features a simple neo-Jacobean style, constructed from red brick with stone dressings. A stone porch is located at the angle with the left wing. The main front has a central transmullioned oriel beneath Dutch gables. The right wing displays relief plaques of Hogarth and Reynolds flanking the central door. A high panelled chimney is situated on the left side.
