Description
Grove Hill House and The Foss, built between 1854 and 1859 by E Habershon, is a Gothic revival style building located in Harrow-on-the-Hill. It features three main storeys, attics, and a basement, with a symmetrical design that includes a two-window wing on the right. The exterior is made of red brick with blue brick diapering. Each house in the pair has a two-bay connected entrance wing with stepped gables and a gabled porch that has an entrance under pointed arches. The wings consist of two main storeys with gabled half-dormers. The ground-storey windows have plate tracery, while the other windows are stone mullioned. At the rear, there are a pair of corbelled oriels on the ground storey, each featuring six lancet lights and a hipped roof. The interiors are noted to be of good quality.
