Overthrow lamp approximately 50 metres west of Jashoda House, Connaught Mews

GV II Overthrow lamp. Early C19. Wrought- and cast-iron. Two upright canons form the base, beneath four brackets supporting lamp standards, which curve toward each other and curl under at the top, and are connected by the bracket for the former lamp. Forms the central entrance to the quadrangle formed by the three former barracks (qqv), possibly re-sited from the north-west entrance.
