Description

The presbytery to St Peter's Roman Catholic Church was built in the 1840s by Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin. This three-storey building is designed in the Tudor style and is attached to the north side of the church. It is constructed of stock brick with painted stone dressings. Notable features include a two-storey bay window and a small light in the gable above, which is topped with an iron finial. There is a larger addition to the north, dated 1870, which is in a very simplified gothic style and made from similar materials, although it is of less architectural interest. The presbytery stands four storeys tall.
