Description
No 2, The Bridge on Uxbridge Road is a single-storey open shop built around 1900, featuring a store room at the back. The shop is notable for its well-preserved interior, which is characteristic of a period wet fish shop. It includes a tiled floor and walls, along with a central marble slab supported by columns made of Connemara marble. Additionally, there are six tile pictures depicting fish and birds, Calais Harbour, and the Royal Yacht Britannia. This shop is a rare example that has survived in its original state.
