Description

20 and 22 The Avenue are a pair of semi-detached houses built around 1879 by R N Shaw, following his first published design. They are constructed from red and yellow brick and feature tiled roofs. The houses are two storeys high with attics. Number 20 includes a single-storey bay and a hooded entrance door, while number 22 has a gabled porch with a bay above it, which may be an alteration. Additionally, number 22 has a single-storey bay with a smaller bay above it. Both houses have a coved eaves cornice.
