Description

Dating to approximately 1880, 31 and 33 The Avenue are a pair of semi-detached houses designed by R N Shaw, based on his third published design for such properties. They are constructed of red and yellow brick with tiled roofs. The houses are two storeys high with attics, and each includes a single-storey bay window and a hooded entrance. A coved eaves cornice runs along the top of the building. Each house also features a large gabled dormer window. A single brick pier remains in the front garden, situated between numbers 33 and 35.
