Description

No. 13, New Row is a late 17th-century terrace house with a shop, part of the 17th-century Bedford Estate development in Covent Garden. The building is constructed of multi-coloured stocks with red brick dressings, and has a concealed roof. It is four storeys high and three windows wide. The ground floor includes an early 19th-century square-headed house doorway to the right, featuring a panelled door and fanlight, and a restored early 19th-century wooden shop front with pilasters supporting an entablature topped with a projecting bracketed cornice. Upper floors have flush-framed sash windows with exposed boxing; the third floor retains its original glazing bars, set within segmental red brick arches. A brick plat band runs along the second floor. A parapet with coping completes the facade.
