Description

Nos 46-53 on Harrowby Street is a terrace of houses built in the early 19th century. The buildings are made of yellow and brown brick, with some parts painted. Nos 46 and 49 have been partly rebuilt and feature 20th-century roofs with dormers. The ground floors of Nos 49-51 are finished in stucco. Each house has three storeys and two bays. The entrances of Nos 49-53 are round-arched, with six-panel doors, fanlights, and sash windows that have glazing bars. Nos 46 and 48 have 20th-century shop fronts. Above the shop fronts, there are sash windows with glazing bars, with No 46 featuring tripartite windows. Iron balconies are present on Nos 47, 49, 51, and 53, along with iron railings at the basement level. No 48 includes an access arch leading to Cato Street.
