Description

Nos 375 to 385 on Hackney Road, built in the early 19th century, are a stock brick terrace featuring stone coping that creates a pediment above each pair of houses. The buildings are linked by entrances set in recessed stucco sections. They are two storeys tall, with two windows each, and an additional round-headed window above the door in the recessed section. The facades of Nos 379 to 385 have been partly rebuilt, and No 385 is colour-washed. No 375 includes a shop front built in the forecourt. The windows are mainly casements with small square panes, while Nos 375 and 377 have round-arched windows on the ground floor. All doorways are round-headed, with some featuring pilasters and fanlights. Notably, No 385 has a fine pedimented doorcase with engaged columns. Nos 337 to 353 and Nos 359 to 385 form a group.
