Description
A row of terraced houses, numbers 29 to 35, built in the 1850s as part of the planned development of Princes Square. The houses are constructed of stucco, with a hidden roof. They are four storeys high, with an attic and basement, and each house is two windows wide. The ground floor features channelled detailing. Projecting Doric porches are present, and above the ground floor, each house has a convex facade. A continuous cast iron bombé balcony runs along the first floor. The ground and third floors have square-headed windows, while the first floor windows are rounded at the corners, with cornices and pilasters. The attic windows are segmentally headed. The windows are sash windows, with glazing bars, and have architraves. A rich dentil frieze sits above the third floor, and a subsidiary cornice defines the attic. Cast iron area railings are also present.
