Description
Nos 3 to 9 on Porchester Place is a terrace built in the 1820s, designed by S P Cockerell for the Trustees of the Bishop of London. The building is constructed of brown brick in Flemish bond, with Nos 5 and 7 painted. It stands three storeys high, with each unit consisting of two bays. The remains of 19th-century shop fronts are visible, although all except No 5 have been significantly altered. Above the shop fronts, Nos 5 and 9 feature sash windows with glazing bars, primarily set under flat gauged brick arches. No 7 has later stucco architraves and a more modern roof with dormers.
