Description

This is a mid-18th century terrace house on Chesterfield Street, London. The building is constructed of brown brick with a slate roof and extends to four storeys and a basement. It has a width of three windows. The central doorway is set within an architrave surround featuring consoles and a cornice, and has a six-panel door and a rectangular fanlight above. The windows are revealed sash windows with glazing bars, set under flat, gauged brick arches. A stone plat band and sill band run along the first floor, and a bracketed stone cornice sits above the second floor, topped by a parapet with coping. Original lead rainwater heads and downpipes are present. Original wrought iron railings are in place, featuring flambé torch finials and an overthrow lampholder.
