Description
Nos 12 and 13 Chesterfield Street are a pair of mid-18th century terrace houses located in the City of Westminster. They are constructed of brown brick and topped with a slate roof. No 12 has three storeys, a basement, and a dormered mansard roof, while No 13 has an additional attic storey added in the early 19th century, replacing the original mansard. Each house features three windows across their façades. The doorways are centrally located on No 13 and set to the left on No 12, both framed by architrave cases and cornices supported by consoles. The windows have revealed sashes without glazing bars, set beneath flat gauged arches. A stone plat band and sill band are present at the first floor, with a bracketed cornice above the second floor. No 12 includes plain wrought iron balconettes at the first floor and Art Nouveau pattern area railings. No 13 retains its original lead rainwater head and has cast iron area railings topped with flambé torch finials and lamp standards.
