Description
No. 14 Greek Street is a terrace house built in the late 17th century. It has been stuccoed and possibly refronted in the early to mid 19th century, with an additional top floor added. The exterior features stucco with what is likely early 19th-century tile facing on the ground floor. The building stands four storeys high and is two windows wide. The tile-faced ground floor includes flanking doorways and a blind segmental archway supported by composite piers and pilasters. The upper floors have recessed sash windows with pediments above on the first floor. There are sill courses and a parapet with a balustrade at the top. Inside, the house retains its original late 17th-century dog leg staircase, which has heavy moulded closed strings and stout turned balusters. The bottom newel is a larger version of the balusters, while the other newels are square, and there is a bolection panelled dado.
