Description
No. 19 Albemarle Street is a terrace house built in the early 18th century, with some alterations. It is constructed of yellow stock brick and features a plate roof. The building has five storeys and is three windows wide. The top two floors were added in the early 19th century. The ground floor has been altered with painted brickwork and the insertion of a mid-20th century shop front, but it retains the original doorway to the right, which has a semicircular fanlight with a radial glazing pattern. The revealed sash windows, which do not have glazing bars, are situated under flat gauged arches. There is an original main cornice above the second floor and a parapet with coping. Early 19th century cast iron balconettes adorn the windows on the first, second, and third floors. This building is included for its group interest only.
