Description
No. 179 New Bond Street is a building that dates from around 1800, with an attic added around 1900. It is constructed of brick, featuring an attic made of Portland stone and faience. The building has four storeys and an attic, and it is three windows wide. The ground floor has a modern shopfront made of plate glass. The upper floors have square-headed windows, mostly also made of plate glass. There are stucco cornices above the first and second floors. The attic storey is notable for its split segmental pediment, which includes a lion and unicorn crest set within yellow and green faience surrounds, along with moulded and carved Portland stone coping. The building now serves as offices with a shop on the ground floor.
