Terraced house. Late 1820s, attributed to the local developer John Johnson. Stock brick with stone sills, slate roof Two bays, three storeys and basement. Sash windows under gauged brick heads with central glazing bars, the sashes to the upper windows each with a central bar also, producing a strongly horizontal effect. First floor windows with iron balconies. Four-panelled door with fanlight in simple round-arched surround. Original railings to steps and area. Interior retains simple cornices, and original stick baluster stair with curving handrail set under top-lit hall. Included as a complete surviving example of an 1820s town house.
