Number 83 And Gate Piers Between Rogers House And Tothill House

Number 83 and the gate piers between Rogers House and Tothill House is a housing estate lodge that has been converted into a shop. It was built between 1928 and 1930, designed by consultant Sir Edwin Lutyens as part of the Westminster Housing Scheme for the Grosvenor Estate. The building features Portland ashlar and grey brick with a slate roof, showcasing a Neo-Georgian style.

It is a single-storey pavilion flanked by gate piers. The front has a tripartite design with a central glazing bar sash window and fixed glazing bar windows on either side, all framed by deeply channelled piers. The returns of the building have architraved doors, sash windows, and quoin piers. The roof is pyramidal and topped with a crowning finial. The gate piers, made of ashlar and topped with ball finials, are positioned adjacent to the corresponding piers of Rogers House and Tothill House.
